ABOUT OSLO ZINE FEST

Oslo Zine Fest (OZF) is an annual celebration of independent publishing, DIY culture, and printed matter in all its forms. Since 2024, we’ve been bringing together zinesters, artists, writers, small presses, activists, and curious visitors for a weekend of sharing, learning, and making together.

Through a zine fair, workshops, talks, and social gatherings, OZF celebrates self-publishing as a tool for storytelling, community-building, experimentation, and resistance. Whether you’re a long-time zinester or just zine-curious, everyone is welcome.

Every edition revolves around a new theme that reflects current conversations within independent publishing and the communities around it. While rooted in Oslo, the festival aims to connect local and international practitioners, creating a space where ideas, skills, and publications can be exchanged freely.

Oslo Zine Fest wouldn’t exist without the people and organisations who believe in independent publishing.

Since 2024, the festival has been generously supported by Kulturrådet / Kulturdirektoratet, and from 2026 also by Oslo kommune.

Over the years, we’ve been lucky to collaborate with Rom for Kunst og Arkitektur, Tenthaus, KURO, and Deichman Grünerløkka, who have helped us create spaces for markets, workshops, talks, and gatherings.

A huge thank you also goes to all our volunteers, exhibitors, workshop holders, artists, and visitors. Your time, generosity, and enthusiasm are what make Oslo Zine Fest possible year after year.

JAM COLLECTIVE

JAM Collective is an artist-run collective founded in 2021 by Julie Lauritzen, Armelle Breuil and Marie Payan.

We share a passion for self-publishing, DIY culture, and creating spaces where people can meet, make things together, exchange skills, and build communities. Through festivals, workshops, publications, and collaborative projects, we explore publishing as both an artistic practice and a way of bringing people together.
